Police say Alabama firefighter injured when ladder fell

TARRANT, Ala. (AP) - Police say an Alabama firefighter was seriously injured while fighting a house fire.

Al.com reports that Tarrant Fire and Rescue and police responded to a house fire around 8:15 a.m. Sunday.

Tarrant police Det. Cpl. James Butterbrodt said the firefighter was on a ladder when the ladder fell. The extent of the firefighter’s injuries wasn’t immediately available but he was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was being treated in the trauma unit.

No other injuries were reported.
