SEATTLE (AP) - A man serving a prison sentence after being convicted of a Seattle rape is facing another sexual assault charge after his DNA was matched to a second victim.
The Seattle Times reports 27-year-old Kirose Hailu was linked to the second victim through a previously untested rape kit.
Hailu is serving a 14-year prison term for the February 2014 rape of an intoxicated woman. Hailu and another man charged in that crime pleaded guilty to rape and other charges in August 2015.
Earlier this month, Hailu was charged with second-degree rape stemming from the DNA match.
Charging documents against Hailu say that case involved a woman who said she was raped by a stranger in October 2014. The woman went to a hospital at the time and underwent a sexual-assault examination.
