OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A 69-year-old resident of an Oklahoma City nursing center has died after she was allegedly assaulted by a fellow resident.

Carolyn Irene Rutledge died Tuesday after suffering a head injury Saturday in the cafeteria of the nursing center. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.

A nurse told police that a 76-year-old patient became angry when Rutledge told him he had a bug on his clothes. Police say he slapped her and shoved her, causing her to fall and hit her head on the floor. She was treated for a traumatic brain injury at a local hospital, where she died.

No arrests have been made.

In October, an altercation at a different nursing center resulted in the death of 84-year-old Wynema Jean Patterson. No charges were filed in that case.
