PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Delaware River Port Authority says a bridge between Pennsylvania and New Jersey has reopened after a large tire fire in northeast Philadelphia caused it to close.

The fire broke out in the city’s Port Richmond neighborhood just after 4:30 p.m. Monday. Flames and smoke could be seen for several miles.

Transportation officials shut down the Betsy Ross Bridge across the Delaware River that links the city with Pennsauken, New Jersey. Interstate 95 was also closed in both directions. No injuries have been reported.
