CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Charleston woman has been arrested in connection with the December death of a man pulled from a fire-damaged house.

Charleston news outlets report that 46-year-old Tammy Teresa Adderley face charges of murder, armed robbery and possession of a knife during commission of a violent crime. She was arrested Friday in Darlington County by sheriff’s deputies and U.S. marshals.

The arrest comes more than a month after authorities responding to a fire call found 82-year-old Robert White in the badly damaged house.

Crews found an unconscious man, later identified as White, and removed him from the home. He died despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel.

Online booking records for Adderley were not available Sunday and it was unclear if she had a lawyer who could comment on her behalf.
