MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) - A weekend storm could bring just about every type of precipitation imaginable, with icy roads a likely end product.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for New Jersey’s northern and western counties, where accumulations of between five and eight inches are predicted.

Southern and central areas of the state are expected to get rain Saturday and Sunday, with precipitation changing to snow Saturday night into Sunday afternoon.

In southern coastal areas, rain is expected to begin Saturday afternoon and change to snow by mid-afternoon Sunday.

The changeover to snow is likely to occur as early as Saturday evening in central New Jersey.

The northern and northwestern parts of the state will start with snow Saturday afternoon that could turn to sleet and freezing rain overnight.
