CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Winter weather conditions closed sections of Interstate 80 in southern Wyoming for much of Friday.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation closed I-80 in both directions between Rawlins and Rock Springs.
That closure forced WYDOT to shut down westbound lanes between Cheyenne and Rawlins and eastbound lanes from Evanston to Rock Springs.
The National Weather Service reported up to 13 inches (33 centimeters) of snow falling in parts of Lincoln County and up to 14 inches (35.5 centimeters) in the Jackson Hole region.
In southern Wyoming, areas of Carbon County received up to an estimated 18 inches (45.7 centimeters).
