BUCKFIELD, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police say a 24-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision after his vehicle crossed the center line.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland says the man was driving in Buckfield on Wednesday evening when he crashed head-on into a truck driven by a 55-year-old woman. The woman suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The road where the crash took place was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

McCausland says names are being withheld pending family notification.

Police are investigating the crash.
