LIBERAL, Kan. (AP) - A southwest Kansas teacher has been arrested after police investigated an allegation that she had sex with a student.
Liberal police said in a news release that the 25-year-old teacher was arrested Sunday. School administrators asked police to investigate allegations that the teacher had sexual relations with an 18-year-old student on Saturday.
The release says the teacher has resigned from the school. Her name was not released.
An affidavit was forwarded to the Seward County attorney’s office seeking a charge of unlawful sexual relations.
