CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Highway officials say they’re concerned that more rocks could fall on a highway in northern Wyoming.
Large boulders fell onto U.S. Highway 14-16-20 at a tunnel five miles west of Cody on Dec. 27. Nobody was hurt but the rocks caused delays.
Wyoming Department of Transportation geologists recently climbed above the tunnel and found signs that more rocks could fall.
Department officials tell the Cody Enterprise they’re seeking bids from contractors to remove the loose rocks.
