LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A free family clinic on ice fishing planned for Saturday at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake has been canceled.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says there’s not enough safe ice to hold the clinic, which won’t be rescheduled.
The commission also says conditions don’t seem promising for a similar event scheduled Jan. 20 at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area Lake No. 6. It has not yet been canceled, however.
A classroom clinic will be held at Yanney Heritage Park’s Environmental Resource Center in Kearney from 1 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 19.
