MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (AP) - Police in South Florida say a car plunged into a lake, killing a 19-year-old and sending a 15-year-old girl to a hospital with critical injuries.
Miami-Dade police say the four teens were inside the car when it crashed into a lake in Miami Lakes early Tuesday morning. Two 18-year-olds - driver Jonathan Perez and passenger Kevin Placeres - escaped without injuries.
Authorities say Christopher Jamie was declared dead at a hospital,
It wasn’t clear what led to the crash. An investigation continues.
