President Trump ordered U.S. flags flown at half-staff Friday in honor of the late former Rep. John Dingell Jr., the nation’s longest-serving congressman, who died Thursday at age 92.
The president said his order will last until sundown Saturday “as a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding service” of Mr. Dingell, a Democrat who served 59 years in the House from Michigan before retiring in 2015.
