KEOKUK, Iowa (AP) - A fire has heavily damaged a city hall in southeast Iowa.

Authorities say no one was injured in the Keokuk City Hall blaze, which was reported a little after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mayor Tom Richardson told the Daily Gate City that his office in the front of the building was spared, but “from my office on back, it’s extremely charred.”

The fire cause is being investigated.
