LONG HILL, N.J. (AP) - A school bus driver has been cited for a crash that caused live power lines to fall on the vehicle with students aboard, though no injuries were reported.
Long Hill School District Superintendent Edwin Acevedo says Sarah Scott-Farrar is on suspension with the bus company she works for and is not driving a route in Long Hill.
The 62-year-old Irvington resident lost control of the bus while trying to make a left turn on Jan. 28.
Eight students - ranging in age from 8 to 11 - were aboard the bus. The children and the driver remained in the vehicle until power to the lines was turned off and they could be safely evacuated a short time
Scott-Farrar was cited for careless driving and making an improper turn. A telephone number for her could not be located Tuesday.
