WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - A Watford police officer has been injured in a weekend crash.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said 30-year-old Jacob Gadewoltz was responding to a request for assistance made by the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office when the crash occurred Saturday. Gadewoltz went through an intersection onto the shoulder of the road and collided with a hay bale.

The officer was taken to the McKenzie County Hospital and treated for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
