DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - A train in North Carolina has hit a parked police cruiser, but no injuries have been reported.
Durham police confirmed to news outlets that the train hit an unoccupied patrol car early Thursday morning. The collision happened on Neal Road, near American Drive, in northwest Durham.
It’s unclear why the cruiser was parked on the train tracks. The type of train has not been identified, and it’s unclear how many people were on board.
