AURORA, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol says 11 vehicles were involved in a crash that blocked eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 east of Grand Island for several hours.

Television station NTV reports ice was blamed for the pileup that happened about 9 a.m. Wednesday near Aurora and mainly involved semi-trailers. The state patrol says two people were taken to hospitals.

Tow trucks were used to pull out semis that had driven into the median, and one trailer spilled potatoes onto the road.

The crash was cleared by 12:35 p.m.
