BINGHAM, Maine (AP) - A man has been killed in a head-on crash that left another woman injured in Maine.

Police say the crash happened around 8 p.m. Monday on Route 201 in Bingham.

Somerset County Sheriff Dale Lancaster says 46-year-old Michael Handy, of Harmony, was pronounced dead at the scene.



The driver of the other vehicle, 31-year-old Jocelyn Jones, was trapped inside her car and had to be extracted by firefighters.

Lancaster says Jones has been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
