MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Public works crews in Vermont’s capital city of Montpelier are working to fix a water main break that snarled some city streets.
Officials say the break was reported early Saturday not far from the center of the city.
The water was several inches deep on a morning when the temperature was below zero. A portion of Main Street in front of the City Hall was closed to traffic.
Other streets are impassable due to damage to the road and said other streets.
The city is urging people stay away while repairs are made.
