BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) - University of New England and the University of Maine School of Law are partnering to help students who want to work in marine law.
Under the agreement, qualifying students can earn an undergraduate degree in marine affairs and a law degree in six years instead of the standard seven.
UNE President James Herbert says the partnership aims to save time and money for students who are pursuing studies in maritime law.
Danielle Conway, dean of the University of Maine School of Law, said the partnership helps establish the two schools as leaders in marine affairs.
