GRETNA, Neb. (AP) - Officials say a Gretna woman has died in a two-vehicle crash in eastern Nebraska.

Sarpy County Sheriff’s officials say 71-year-old Cassandra Clausen was driving a small SUV east on a county road Friday evening when she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 6, pulling out in front of a southbound car. Investigators say Clausen was taken to an Omaha hospital, where she died.

The 45-year-old driver of the car was also critically injured and remained hospitalized Saturday.

Officials say the crash closed Highway 6 for about three hours.
