PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Officials say all public and Roman Catholic schools in Philadelphia will be closed Wednesday with the approach of a winter storm.
Philadelphia Public Schools announced the closure decision Tuesday afternoon but said a decision on whether administrative offices will be open will be announced by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
The archdiocese of Philadelphia said all archdiocesan high schools and parochial elementary schools would also be closed.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the region, saying residents should expect mixed precipitation with a total of 2 to 4 inches of snow and a light glaze of ice.
