OPINION:
I wonder how many people in our country would hire inexperienced, outrageously priced mechanics to work on their cars. Probably very few. Yet what is the difference between that and some of the people we’ve elected to Congress?
We have in the Senate Kamala Harris, an admitted pothead, Elizabeth Warren, a pathological liar, and Cory Booker, “Mr. Spartacus,” the condescending snake-oil salesman running for president in 2020. These people are purely ego-driven attention seekers, which brings me to a couple of really outrageous elected officials with little or no experience in politics: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Ilhan Omar of Michigan.
The taxpayers are paying $174,000 a year for what is essentially an on-the-job-training program for two anarchists with no conception of democracy. These two want to take this country down the road to socialism, denying people the rights we have now. Miss Ocasio-Cortez and Ms. Omar would take away from the people incentives to make and reach goals, making us all reliant on the government. We would become mindless slaves to the system, killing democracy as we know it.
From my perspective, maybe those too young to understand what this country was built on should move to one of those countries that they love so much.
