BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota’s House has passed legislation that would exempt military retirement pay from state income tax.
Representatives passed the bill 50-42 on Monday.
The deduction is available to individuals or their survivors who receive military retirement pay.
State budget writers estimate about $3 million in state income tax is generated from military retirement pay.
