ASHLEY, N.D. (AP) - Patients and nursing home residents at the Ashley Medical Center have been displaced because of a fire.

They were evacuated to a parking garage Tuesday after the facility caught fire. Buses and ambulances then transported the patients and residents to other facilities in the region.

KQDJ reports fire damage is not extensive, but smoke damage will keep the facility closed for a few days.

The hospital reports that emergency care is being diverted to Wishek Hospital for now. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
