BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Wild turkey hunters who haven’t yet applied for a North Dakota license for the spring season have just one more day to do so.
The Game and Fish Department says Wednesday is the deadline. Hunters can apply online or over the phone.
The agency is offering 6,025 wild turkey licenses for the spring season, 370 more than last year. They’re available only to North Dakota residents.
The spring turkey season opens April 13 and runs through May 19. Hunting Unit 21 in Hettinger and Adams counties will remain closed to turkey hunting again this year due to low numbers of the birds.
