APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a San Tan Valley man and his live-in girlfriend are dead after an apparent murder-suicide.
Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say 30-year-old Stuart Milne was pulled over for a traffic stop Friday night by Apache Junction police and then fatally shot himself.
He was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities say Milne had been on the phone with a police negotiator earlier and said he had done something bad.
They say he also made statements about his girlfriend Natasha Arredondo, who was reported missing by her family Friday night.
Sheriff’s officials say a dead body was found Saturday morning in an industrial area in Apache Junction.
Authorities identified the victim as Arredondo and say she had been shot multiple times.
