WAREHAM, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man was convicted in a 2017 crash that killed a motorcyclist, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
Tony Hourani, 32, of Carver, was found guilty on Tuesday of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation.
Hourani was driving a delivery truck out of a driveway in Middleborough when he struck and killed Michael Garner, 24, prosecutors said. Garner was thrown from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Hourani stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
Hourani was sentenced to 18 months in the house of corrections, suspended pending five years of probation. His license has also been suspended for 15 years.
