COVENTRY, Conn. (AP) - An overnight fire at a Connecticut home left one person dead and another seriously injured, police said.
Officials responded to reports of a structure fire at a home in Coventry at about 12 a.m. Monday, according to Coventry police.
They found one person outside the home suffering from serious burns who was transported to Hartford Hospital. A second person was found inside the residence who was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are not releasing the names of the people involved, pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
