With their 47-16 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17, the Washington Redskins finished the season 3-13 and clinched the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
The 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals locked up the No. 1 pick a week ago. The 3-12-1 Detroit Lions, who finished their season with nine straight losses, will pick third. The 4-12 New York Giants and 5-11 Miami Dolphins round out the top five.
Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young, whom experts consider the best overall prospect expected to enter the draft, should be available to Washington at No. 2 because the Bengals draft Heisman-winning quarterback Joe Burrow at No. 1.
Other prospects Washington could consider include Georgia tackle Andrew Thomas and Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
