LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas man whose car hit a tree collapsed on the ground and later died after getting out of the vehicle, police said.
The car driven by the 66-year-old man left a roadway, hit a tree and came to rest in traffic lanes on the opposite side of the street Friday night.
According to police, evidence and witnesses indicated the man got out of the car and appeared to have a hard time catching his breath before collapsing.
Emergency personnel began medical treatment but the man was pronounced dead at a hospital.
His identity wasn’t released.
