LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick won’t be on the ballot in Michigan’s Democratic presidential primary.

A state elections board said Patrick’s campaign didn’t submit enough valid signatures by the Dec. 13 deadline. The board agreed Friday with the recommendation of the Bureau of Elections.

Patrick joined the Democratic pack in mid-November, missing an opportunity to appear on the Michigan ballot without petition signatures by just a few days.

“We’re weighing our options to ensure that Deval Patrick is on the ballot in Michigan,” said campaign spokeswoman Aleigha Cavalier.

Four Republicans and 15 Democrats will appear on Michigan’s presidential primary ballots on March 10.
