BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A Lancaster, New York police officer has pleaded guilty in connection with a Lake Erie boat crash that killed a teacher.

Michael Cronin pleaded guilty on Monday to imprudent speed under navigation law.

He was off duty when the boat struck a breakwall in May 2018.



Eric Przykuta, a Lancaster School District teacher, was ejected and died.

Cronin has been fined and sentenced to one year of conditional discharge, according to WIVB.
