CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Weekly gas prices dropped a bit in northern New England, a gas survey company said Monday.

The latest GasBuddy surveys show that the average price of gas in New Hampshire is $2.44 a gallon, down 1.6 cents from last week. The price in Vermont was $2.59 a gallon, down 1.2 cents. In Maine, prices dipped slightly, averaging $2.54 a gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.55 Monday. That’s down 5.5 cents per gallon from a month ago, yet stands 19.3 cents higher than a year ago.
