STROUD, Oklahoma (AP) - The U.S. Geological Survey has reported a magnitude 3.6 earthquake in Oklahoma near Stroud.

The quake was recorded Sunday morning about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) north of Stroud. Stroud, which has a population of about 2,700 people, is located about 58 miles (93 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City.

There were no immediate reports of damage, and geologists say damage is not likely in quakes below magnitude 4.0.
