WEST PARIS, Maine (AP) - A man died when his car went crashed into a brook in West Paris, Maine, and divers searched for additional victims, police said.
A man in his 60s was pulled Friday from Moose Pond Brook and pronounced dead at the scene, the Oxford Sheriff’s Department said. Divers continued to look in the water for any other victims that may have been involved, WGME-TV said.
Route 26, a busy highway in western Maine, which was closed during the rescue operation. Some of the rescuers were treated for hypothermia, WGME-TV said.
