AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -

A man driving a forklift died at his South Carolina workplace after another forklift with a boom on it fell on top of him, the Aiken County sheriff said.

The man died about 1 p.m. Thursday at ALCS Inc. in Aiken, which is a recycling business, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.



The man was using his forklift to move equipment when he died, the coroner’s office said.

His name has not been released.

The man was crushed by another forklift with a boom on it, Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt told The Aiken Standard.

Deputies are investigating the death.
