FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - A medical examiner in Tennessee said Wednesday he believes a 43-year-old woman killed her 12-year-old son before turning a gun on herself.
Davidson County Medical Examiner Feng Li told The Tennessean he believed Rachel Narancich to be the shooter.
Narancich and Asher Narancich were found shot to death in their home on Tuesday. A family member discovered the bodies, Franklin police told news outlets.
Officers arrived at the home just before 5:30 p.m. and determined there was “nothing to be done for either” the mother or son, Franklin police spokesman Lt. Charles Warner said. He said whatever happened inside the home occurred in rapid succession that afternoon.
