SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Construction of a new hotel at Vermont’s Burlington International Airport is going to begin in the spring.
Airport Manager Gene Richards tells WCAX-TV it will save money to begin work on the 108-room hotel in the spring because winter construction is more expensive.
But other construction projects at the airport, which is located in the city of South Burlington, are proceeding as planned.
A location where rental car companies will be able to refuel and wash vehicles is almost ready. Richards says the facility, scheduled to be ready for use in January, will make it possible to turnaround the rental cars faster.
Work on the airport’s taxiways and aprons is expected to wrap up next year. There have also been parking upgrades.
