BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Authorities have charged a Connecticut woman with terrorism after she allegedly threatened to shoot people at an airport.

Bridgeport police say 53-year-old Laurie Ott, of Milford, was taken into custody Thursday after calling 911 and threatening to open fire at Sikorsky Memorial Airport.

Police spokesman Terron Jones says investigators traced the call to Ott’s home and arrested her there without incident.

She was charged with second-degree threatening and terrorist acts and remained in police custody Friday.

It was unclear whether Ott had a lawyer authorized to speak on her behalf.
