COLUSA, Calif. (AP) - A man wanted in the 2018 killing of a woman who disappeared in California a day after her sister was killed in a car crash has been arrested in Mexico.

The Colusa Police Department says Salvador Garcia Jr. was arrested in Guadalajara, Mexico by U.S. Marshals and booked into Colusa County jail on Sunday.

Officials identified Garcia as the suspect in the killing of 21-year-old Karen Garcia after investigators found blood at the apartment they shared before breaking up and in his car.

Karen Garcia’s 19-year-old sister Jessica was one of six killed Jan. 7 when a wrong-way driver struck their vehicle.

Karen disappeared the following day. Family initially thought she wanted to be alone to grieve her sister. They found her body in her car in a parking lot.
