TORRANCE, Calif. (AP) - Police are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found on a Southern California beach about a half-hour after sunrise Friday.
Torrance police Sgt. Alexander Martinez says the bodies were discovered shortly before 7 a.m. at Torrance Beach, at the south end of Santa Monica Bay near the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Police did not find signs of physical trauma on the bodies, which were side-by-side on the sand.
Aerial views from news helicopters showed a yellow tarp over the bodies before police placed a tent over them.
A wide area of the surrounding sand was cordoned off for the investigation.
The men have not been identified.
