Addressing the significant mass burning of the Amazonian rainforest — the ecosystem biomass of which produces 20% of Earth’s oxygen — Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro recently told the rest of the rightfully concerned world, “You have to understand that the Amazon is Brazil’s, not yours.”

Earth’s ecosystems honor no national boundary. If they did, the damage done to the natural environment by morally and ethically corrupt governments and corporate puppet masters would miraculously be confined strictly to the owners’ territory.

To quote Jacob Marley’s ghost when it rebutted Ebenezer Scrooge’s cold-hearted mentality in “A Chrsitmas Carol”: “BUSINESS? Mankind was my business! Their common welfare was my business!”
