SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have charged a juvenile with murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Springfield.
Springfield police say the juvenile suspect was arrested Wednesday night, a day after 55-year-old Heriberto Hernandez was shot in the city’s Brightwood neighborhood.
Hernandez was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released the suspect’s name or age and have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
The juvenile suspect also faces several firearms charges.
The shooting remains under investigation.
