MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Administration Agency says the state’s general and transportation funds were ahead of revenue forecasts for July, while the education fund was slightly below expectations.

Administration Secretary Susanne Young says General Fund revenues were almost 4.8%, or $5.2 million ahead of forecasts.

The Transportation Fund was just under 1% ahead of the target, or about $200,000 ahead of projections, but the Education Fund was almost 3%, or $1.4 million, below target.

Young says that taken together the three funds “experienced a positive gain” over the target.

July was the first month of the fiscal year, so Young says it’s too early to draw conclusions about the performance for the full year.
