WALLACE, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities say an 11-year-old boy has died after an all-terrain vehicle crash in West Virginia.

News outlets reported Monday that the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened Saturday on Wetzel Lane near Wallace.

Officials say the boy’s ATV was the only vehicle involved in the crash. Deputies say it doesn’t look like he was wearing a helmet.

The boy’s family members were also in the area driving ATVs at the time of the crash and rendered aid until emergency personnel arrived.

The sheriff’s office has not released his name but said he was in West Virginia visiting relatives. His body has been transported to Charleston for an autopsy.
