Mount Vernon police investigate woman’s death

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) - Police say they are investigating the death of a woman who was found in a car in northwest Washington state.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports Mount Vernon Fire Department crews responded to a medical call near the city’s downtown Tuesday afternoon.

Police Lt. Greg Booth says the fire crews found the woman dead, so police were called in.

Booth says it’s too early to determine if the death is suspicious.

Detectives are investigating.
