Girl dies after being struck by car

WEYBRIDGE, Vt. (AP) - A young girl who was hit by a car in Weybridge last week has died.

State Police told WCAX-TV that 9-year-old Matilda Boulanger died Saturday at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon. Police a driver was traveling eastbound on Weybridge Road when the girl unexpectedly walked into the road.

The crash remains under investigation.
