KEENE, N.H. (AP) - Patients have begun returning to a New Hampshire hospital that lost heat and hot water due to a boiler malfunction.

About four dozen patients were evacuated from Cheshire Medical Center in Keene on Friday and transferred to other hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont. A temporary boiler was installed Friday night, and the process of returning the patients began Saturday morning.

The boiler malfunction Thursday morning damaged the venting system and chimney that exhausts the furnace. No injuries were reported.
